The filming is taken within urban areas in far distances to catch natural footage of people. There are also elements of simple shots of industrial buildings, empty streets, back alleys and busy roads. The style of film is shot on an old camera in black and white creating a cameo of perspective placement. The framing is in different sized shots being in a specific placement, for example outside of windows, cafes, streets, rooftops, etc. they all consist of still points letting movement be within natural time. The colourisation being black and white compliments the footage as the natural lighting of the sun creates shadows of leaves delicately touching the concrete ground. Even following peoples footsteps as the camera is zoomed in to catch them walk away in the corners of the frame.
These are mini clips I shot on a holiday back to Poland in Krakow and Szydlowiec relating to the short film, Super 8mm Film Test by Shooting on old Panasonic SDX900 CCD. The similar shots are made from high points on balconies of communist buildings, people in parks with shadows of trees from the sun and local people such as the woman in Nowa Huta (Krakow) selling pretzels.

Here is another set of similar clips from a balcony, following peoples footsteps as the camera is zoomed in to catch them walk away in the corners of the frame. These are more clips similar to the Super 8mm Film Test by Shooting on old Panasonic SDX900 CCD film.
Salamanca | Heart Trailer from STEREOTACTIC on Vimeo.
This film concentrates within a more isolated area somewhere in the countryside of Spain. With a more specific selection of people to film, there is still a purity to the people being filmed along with the dependence on nature being the wind blowing against the hung sheets and trees. This is similar to what I want to create in my short film as I want everything to be genuine as the camera follows from far distances establishing the locations and local people.

These are more experimental footage of sheets/curtains blowing.
Saint-Petersburg to Moscow from STEREOTACTIC on Vimeo.
This film has a narrative of a journey through towns and villages in Russia from St. Petersburg to Moscow. The film religiously follows a pattern of visual imagery as the locations change, with more natural shots of local people.
PROJECT 1 from Natalie Żytnicka Brooks on Vimeo.
This is a short film I had created last Christmas for an art project and relates to the style of filming in the reviewed short films. The long shots and natural action within the narrative. Overall it reminded me of the journey created in the short film, Saint-Petersburg to Moscow, with a continuing pattern of framing. The colourisation is also similar, drained out making everything colder and miserable. However, there is more of a consistency with the person and connection as she is followed throughout, like Salamanca with a documentary style.
CROYDON TO SZYDŁOWIEC from Media 12345 on Vimeo.
This was filmed on a different camera and were made in Croydon in a flat from a window comparing to the view from the flat in Szydlowiec in Poland, with a few in the interior. These relate to the short films themes and style. The only difference is that this is more fulfilled with colour from natural summer light.
The framing within the shots have a shape comparison between city and rural. East Croydon (South London) and Szydlowiec a small Polish town.
